A pair of 3rd century AD Roman shoes after one of the finds from Neatham, UK, (find no. 512). Also known as the Ridley style, it is one of the numerous variants of shoes with integral laces, which is so typical for Roman shoes of this period. I used the nailing pattern of another find from the same site as that is more complete. Note the interesting decorative heel tabs!
