Castleford No.2

Castleford is the site of a Roman settlement called Lagentium or Legeolium that was home to a Roman fort. A number of shoes (see e.g. the Castleford caliga I also did) and other interesting finds from the late 1st century, both miltary and civilian, come from the excavations of the site.

This pair is made after a carbatina found at the site, but with a separate sole. Late 1st/early 2nd century AD.
